that another node B has transmitted the same message that A itself was supposed to transmit. We observe the epidemic nature of the dissemination of data in SPIN, especially in SPIN-BC. Using the three-way handshake, a node that has the missing data passes it on to a neighbor that does not have it, thereby infecting it in the process. The working of the three-way handshaking protocol basically constitutes the contact and infecting process of the SPIN protocol. 3.3.1 Infuse For the reliable dissemination of data in sensor networks, the authors of Infuse [12] proposed a TDMA-based data dissemination protocol for sensor networks.
